About Melissa Kulesz
I help business owners see what their customers see.
If your marketing feels like it should be working but something still isn’t clicking, it may not be an effort problem.
It may be a clarity problem.
I help small businesses, founders, and service providers find the gaps in their message, website, visibility, and customer path so they can move forward with more confidence and less guesswork.
The throughline has always been clarity.
Across every chapter of my career, my role has looked a little different on paper. But the real work has stayed the same.
My story, without the corporate gloss.
I didn’t start in a boardroom. I started in the real world, where customers are local, relationships matter, and you have to figure things out because there is no playbook.
1995–2004
Building demand from nothing
My career began at Penn-Plax, where I helped launch and grow a new direct-to-consumer sales channel in my region. There was no roadmap, no proven process, and no one-size-fits-all script. I learned how to translate products into stories people understood, and how attention becomes trust.
2005+
Founder years and trust-building
In 2005, I founded Child Smart ID and built the business from scratch. I created the product, marketed it, sold it, fulfilled it, and learned what it really means to earn trust. For years, parents and agencies trusted me with details that mattered deeply. That shaped how I think about responsibility, clarity, and follow-through.
2011–2021
Systems, visibility, and message-building
In SaaS and enterprise technology, I continued building where no clear structure existed. I helped shape positioning, messaging, campaigns, content, lead generation, and sales enablement. If the business needed a clearer path to market, I helped build it.
2021–2025
Turning visibility into connection
At Rise Broadband, I pioneered a community-driven “digital door-to-door” strategy for rural fiber markets. While others talked about specs and speed, I focused on relief, reliability, peace of mind, humor, local trust, and better daily life. Social media became less of a megaphone and more of a front porch.
What I Believe
Clarity comes before tactics.
Before you post more, run ads, redesign, or add another platform, you need to know what is actually unclear.
Trust is built in small moments.
People notice whether the message makes sense, whether the next step feels safe, and whether the experience matches the promise.
Marketing should feel doable.
The best strategy is one you can actually keep up with.
The path matters more than the platform.
If people do not understand where they are, what you offer, or what to do next, more visibility will not fix the gap.
The Thinking Behind The Work
Want To See How I Think About Marketing?
The way I approach marketing grew out of years of noticing patterns, asking questions, and looking for what doesn’t quite fit. If you want to understand why I start with observation before tactics, I put the thinking behind Make It Memorable in one place.
How I See Marketing →How Make It Memorable Helps
Make It Memorable exists for founders and small businesses who are tired of guessing why their marketing is not connecting.
Through Clarity Catcher™, I look for the message gaps, trust gaps, and next-step gaps that make people hesitate before they contact you, buy from you, book with you, or ask for more information.
You do not need more noise. You need a clearer path.
What Guides the Work
The Make It Memorable Promise
Make It Memorable exists to help founders see what they’ve been looking at all along, but haven’t yet recognized.
We notice what others overlook.
We look for patterns before prescriptions.
We build confidence before tactics.
We believe the most memorable marketing isn’t simply seen.
It’s understood.
And when founders understand what’s really holding their business back, they make better decisions.
Those better decisions create stronger businesses.
That is the work.
